VentureSpur OKC Pitch Day 2013 a Success!
More than 150 supporters, entrepreneurs, mentors and investors heard pitches from all seven 2013 VentureSpur startups at VentureSpur’s OKC Pitch Day event on Oct. 23rd at Will Rogers Threatre in Oklahoma City.
The event featured investment and product pitches from the seven startup companies, which are focused on educational technology, consumer marketing, and e-commerce platforms.
The event in the culmination of the Oklahoma City portion of the 2013 VentureSpur acceleration program.
Due to high response to the event, the Dallas Pitch Day has filled up fast. Accredited investors interested in attending should contact VentureSpur Program Assistant Lindsay Ellis at (214) 432-3742.A parallel Dallas Pitch Day will occur on October 30th in Dallas, Texas at the Inwood Theatre and will be final VentureSpur event of the 2013 acceleration program.
“The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Commenters have especially noted that the level of polish and professionalism in the presentations was very high,” said VentureSpur Managing Partner, Kraettli L. Epperson.
Pitch Day offers the venture capital, angel investor and startup community an opportunity to hear from these highly competitive start-ups, to recognize the effort of these founders, and to celebrate entrepreneurship.
The event also featured an expert discussion panel on trends and the future of educational technology by VentureSpur mentors Ken Parker and Piyush Patel, and our co-founder, Kraettli Epperson (ordered left to right in photo). Ken unveiled the latest triumph for his online education company, NextThought, which has just rolled out an entire educational community and class management system for the University of Oklahoma.
