VentureSpur featured in NewsOK & Chicago Tribune

VentureSpur’s reaction to current accelerator application volume and quality was the subject of a news story appearing yesterday in both NewsOK and The Chicago Tribune.

Following up on VentureSpur’s announcement of our upcoming application deadline on June 6, and a presentation this week to the Oklahoma Venture Forum, the story quotes Managing Director Kraettli L. Epperson regarding the accelerator’s progress to date:

Oklahoma’s first venture accelerator has already received some good applications from startup companies seeking its services, but more applicants are expected in the coming weeks.

VentureSpur, a firm launched in Oklahoma City this year to nurture early-stage companies seeking to mature and attract capital, has set a June 6 deadline for early-stage businesses seeking help.

“The applications are coming in quickly,” VentureSpur co-founder and managing director Kraettli L. Epperson said.

“We’re very excited about the applications we’re seeing.”
