Introducing Venture Capital Leadership Panelist Brad Feld

VentureSpur is delighted to announce that Brad Feld, renowned entrepreneur and investor, will be one of our four Venture Capital Leadership Panelists for VentureSpur Pitch Day!

Brad Feld is one of the managing directors at The Foundry Group, based in Boulder, Colorado. The Foundry Group is a venture capital firm that invests in early stage software and Internet companies throughout the United States.

He is also the co-founder of TechStars, a Boulder-based, mentor-driven venture accelerator and seed fund. Brad is considered the godfather of the accelerator movement and TechStars is one of the oldest and most successful accelerator’s in the world. We look forward to hearing Brad’s thoughts on how accelerators drive local economic growth in a community.

We are also especially delighted to announce that the first 100 attendees at Pitch Day will receive a free copy of Brad’s latest book, Startup Communities [Amazon], which outlines the grand social experiment that Brad and other entrepreneurs and accelerator founders have begun to turn their cities, large or small, into hotbeds of innovation, re-investment and economic growth, driven by startups.

Brad’s regular thoughts and musings can be read here, at his blog, Feld Thoughts.

The Foundy Group’s current venture fund of $225m was launched in October 2010 and is managed by its four directors.  Collectively, The Foundry Group has over five decades of experience in venture capital investing and technology startups. This blog is dedicated to providing advice, tools and encouragement from one entrepreneur to another. I want to keep this practical and accessible for the new entrepreneur while also providing enough sophistication and depth to prove useful to the successful serial entrepreneur. My target rests somewhere between the garage and the board room, where the work gets done and the hockey stick emerges.
