LaunchOklahoma announces partnership with The 404 Co-Working Office

The 404 co-working facility to host 2014 LaunchOklahoma acceleration program and events

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (June 17, 2014) – In a move designed to consolidate and bolster the fast-growing technology entrepreneurship community in Oklahoma, the LaunchOklahoma venture accelerator and The 404 co-working office announced today that their boards of directors had approved a partnership under which LaunchOklahoma’s 2014 12-week acceleration program would occupy the Back Room of the co-working office. The 404 is located on Film Row, an increasingly popular historical and creative district in downtown Oklahoma City.

LaunchOklahoma Executive Director, Kraettli L. Epperson, said, “This partnership is the culmination of ongoing discussions between the two organizations about how to best serve the ‘best-of-the-best’ startups that are admitted to the venture accelerator while also providing benefits to the larger community.”

The partnership will allow LaunchOklahoma to host and coordinate events in The 404 before and during the program, and will also provide members of The 404 and the greater Oklahoma entrepreneurial community with easy access to LaunchOklahoma social networking events, and to a limited number of mentor-led seminars and workshops designed to educate emerging entrepreneurs.

Startups in the 2014 LaunchOklahoma acceleration program will have access to a private, dedicated co-working style office, a meetup space, and conference rooms at The 404 for the duration of the program.

John Kerber, Manager of The 404, said, “We’re very excited to have LaunchOklahoma run it’s acceleration program out of The 404.  LaunchOklahoma does a great deal for the Oklahoma startup community and we think the energy of their startup accelerator will be a great benefit to The 404 and the technical community that we’ve built here.”

The accelerator’s first event for the 2014 calendar year will be an Entrepreneurial Community Happy Hour this Friday, June 20, 2014 from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. Also that evening on Film Row is the June “Premiere Night” street festival, which attracts visitors to food trucks, gallery showings and entertainment along W. Sheridan Avenue.
