From Quora: Where can I find a list of consumer internet CEOs that are waiting for their next opportunity?

There are several places to try. LinkedIn would be my #1. Do a search for CEOs and find people who have recently exited. 

As a second choice, I’ve also seen industry-specific conferences used as a great place to find executives who are highly engaged in an industry, but maybe not employed right now. The ones who go to the conferences just to stay involved are good candidates. 

Keep in mind that your perfect candidate may already be employed and may not be awaiting “their next opportunity.” LinkedIn is also good for finding these candidates.
