VentureSpur Startup idefi Music Featured in Journal Record Article
VentureSpur startup team idefi Music has been featured in a Journal Record article about the announced Nov. 1 launch of the company’s online music label, which provides a free and powerful platform for independent artists to promote and sell their music.
From the article:
The online music retail service market is about to get a little more competitive with the entry of Tulsa-based idefi’s this week, idefi Group LLC Chief Executive Brady Deaton said.
The service, to be launched Thursday, offers an alternative between the classic record label business format and iTunes, a market entry point that can be fine-tuned by the artist. The company name plays on the idea of defiance in the digital age, he said.
“At a traditional label, you’re either let in the door or you’re kept outside,” he said. “We offer a way for them to work into the benefits that a record label would provide without a contract while they get paid money immediately. They avoid the usual debt and financial risk that keeps so many new artists from reaching their audience.
