Productivity Hack: The Ultrawide!

EL-NUEVO-MONITOR-DE-LG-ULTRA-WIDE-LLEGARÁ-A-COLOMBIA-2Ultrawide monitors, those with a 2560 x 1080 resolution (double the normal HD width), have been growing in popularity and dropping in price. I purchased one a few months ago, an LG ultrawide at 29″ with an IPS LED and a 21:9 aspect ratio, and I’m loving it. I can’t believe I worked without it.

Why are ultrawides so great? They allow you to place two documents side-by-side, which is a huge productivity boost for me. I do a lot of research, writing, document editing, website editing, etc. For these activities, two or more screens are the killer productivity hack, and the ultrawide screen in the hack on the hack!

In the past, I’d been getting the same effect with two monitors, but attaching them to a laptop required a docking station, and even using USB 3.0, the video was still noticeably slow to update and laggy.

No problems like that with an ultrawide! Super fast speed and no dependence on a special piece of external equipment. All it requires is a regular HDMI connection.

The 27″ and 29″ variations have come down in price to a point that they compete with high-end conventional LED monitors. The ultrawides typically come in height variations of 27″, 29″ and 32″, with larger sizes being much more expensive.

If you work like I do – anything editorial or technical – get one today. You won’t regret the upgrade both to your equipment and to your brain!
